IMPORTANT: WoCAA Series Updates

We have some important announcements to make about the 2013 WoCAA Race Series!

1. Series standings have been updated as of August 8 post Flagstaff Omnium.  The results from that race can be found here, and the series standings are posted here!

2. The next race in the WoCAA Series is the Cotton Classic TT and TTT, which is this Sunday, August 11.  All the details pertaining to that race and the WoCAA series can be found here.  Good luck to everyone racing this weekend!

3. The WoCAA Race Series rules for 2013 have been revised to remove the required minimum number of races (previously 7) for contention in the overall series.  So all riders who have participated in the series are now eligible for the final overall championship regardless of the number of races attended.  But don’t forget, you get points for simply starting and finishing, so the more races you’ve done, the more points you’ve earned by default.  But for 2013, there is no longer a minimum number of races required for the overall award!

4. We are still working out details for the final series awards party, but there will also be prizes for the Most Prolific Rider (someone who completed the most number of series races) and the Best All-Around Rider who tried the most disciplines (road, CX, MTB) in addition to the podiums for each category.

5. The final race of the WoCAA series will be the Flag Double XX cyclocross race in Flagstaff on Saturday and Sunday, October 26 and 27.  Both races can be counted towards points in the series, but you don’t have to race both days.  The AZ Cross calendar is available here.

Thank you for your participation in the inaugural year of the WoCAA Race Series, and we look forward to improving on the series and the quality of the racing experience in 2014!
