Mt. Agamenticus TT….I’m still recovering

This was the most difficult TT I’ve ever finished! The course was 7.5 miles long, with 1.4 miles on what they called “hard packed dirt” and finishing with a 0.7 mile climb with an average grade of 10%, with sections of 12-14%. I was nervous for this one. The “hard packed dirt” was a gravel road, with a lot of rocks and some climbing.

I was so happy I made it through the gravel road I forgot how steep the finishing climb was! There was a nice family on the side of the road cheering for people. They cheered for me for about fifteen seconds and I still wasn’t passed them, so they started cheering again! I got out of the saddle at that point, but it was brutal. I’m glad I finished and stayed upright.Mount Agamenticus, the final climb
