Great recap of the races Maggie. Yes, the McDowell Mountain Circuit race was an experience for sure. Racing in the pouring rain has so many delightful things about it! Here are a few'

So, you thought clumpy mascara eye buggers were attractive. Well, gritty, dirty, wet spray from the tire in front of you creates even lovelier eye buggers. My clothes were so difficult to remove and extremely heavy- I think I gained 5 ponds from the water. I was amazed how long it took for my shoes to dry- 3 days!!

After racing in the pouring rain, it's a good idea to dry the chain and lube it; don't wait for the annoying screechy sound coming from your bike on your next ride to remind you (as I did)! Wipe, lube, wipe!!

Despite the rain, we had a great turn, the ladies did a great job racing out and everyone had fun! It's going to be a fantastic year!
